Jaemin Park

I study computer science and engineering at Seoul National University. My interests span algorithms and data structures, computer systems, and machine learning.

I competed with NewTrend, winning a bronze medal at the 48th ICPC World Finals and the 2024 ICPC Asia Pacific Championship. I also build software and write notes to explore how things work, from digital logic and processors to algorithms and mathematics.

Projects

Reinventing the Wheel

A digital logic simulator that builds a computer from gates to RV32I processors, with interactive circuit examples and timing experiments.

PS Checklist

A contest and practice tracker for competitive programming, with problem progress, contest resources, and a dated practice history.

Blogs

I write about problem solving, mathematics, and computer science, from contest solutions and proofs to papers I am reading.

Problem Solving

Contest solutions and the ideas behind them, from algorithms and data structures to techniques for competitive programming.

Mathematics

Definitions, proofs, and worked examples in linear algebra, abstract algebra, mathematical statistics, and topology.

Computer Science

Paper reviews and explanations of machine learning, reinforcement learning, and quantum computation, with the mathematics behind them.

Experience and research

I was a research intern at Huawei’s Hong Kong Research Center in 2025 and a teaching assistant at the Korean IOI Training Camp from 2021 to 2024. My earlier research explored geometric data structures, dynamic programming optimization, and reinforcement learning for graph games.
